Casey seniors are invited to visit the pop-up food hub located in the Bunjil Place foyer on Tuesday, July 12, to chat with our Inclusion and Wellbeing team and local community groups about small scale sustainable gardening, and how you can grow some of your own produce at home all year round.

We have a limited number of planter boxes built by the Akoonah Park Men's Shed that will be available free to local seniors, along with seasonal seedlings donated by Ball Australia.

There will also be Occupational Therapists there through the day to discuss safe gardening practices.

This Positive Ageing initiative is part of the Casey Cornucopia event now on at Bunjil Place and the broader Casey Winter Arts Festival.

At our first meeting for the year Woorinyan Branch donated $800 to Beaconsfield Upper Scouts.
Throughout last year, in between lockdowns we raised funds, by catering, making jam, Anzac biscuits, and shortbreads.
