Just a reminder that the Disaster Awareness and Preparedness Information Session is on tomorrow morning, Wednesday, 20th August from 9am - 10.30am at the River Room, Beachmere Hub. All welcome with a donation of $2 at the door. This donation assists with the hire of the room.

Beachmere has experienced floods, severe storms and fires over the years, so understanding local disaster risks is an important part of keeping your family, pets and property safe. Taking time to prepare now can help you respond with confidence when severe weather or other emergencies occur — and it could even save a life.
Join us to learn more about:
• local disaster risks and disaster types
• the roles of Council and the community in Disaster Management
• warning systems, advice sources and helpful information tools
This informal workshop is a chance to ask questions, share local knowledge and find practical ways to be disaster ready.
This workshop will be held on Thursday 20th August from 9.00am - 10.30am at the River Room, The Hub, Main Street, Beachmere. Cost is $2 at the door.

PLACES STILL AVAILABLE! The Art of Letting Go: finding Peace That's Already There.
Most of us have never been taught what to do with difficult emotions.
This course introduces simple, practical Sedona Method techniques to help you recognise and release emotional suffering instead of carrying it for months or even years.
Through discussion, guided exercises, and shared exploration, you will come to see that peace does not need to be created. It is already here and becomes easier to notice when we are no longer fully absorbed in the mind's activity.
This course is suitable for anyone interested in greater emotional wellbeing, resilience, and ease in everyday life.

Cost of 4 week course is $15.
Register now by calling 0456 685 736 or,
visiting the office at Beachmere Community Hall, 5 Progress Road, Beachmere or,

National Volunteer Week....A great big 'thank you' to our amazing volunteers at U3A Beachmere. Yesterday we celebrated these incredible people with a morning tea, a chat and laughter. They are the backbone of U3A Beachmere and what keeps us going.

Volunteers don’t just give up their time; they donate their energy, passion, and unique talents to a cause they believe in. They choose to show up when they could easily choose to stay home. When we thank volunteers, we aren’t just acknowledging tasks completed—we are celebrating their choice to care and the incredible people they are.
