As National Volunteer Week nears the end, we’d like to say a heartfelt thank you to our wonderful volunteer team at the Bayswater Oxfam Fair Trade Shop 💛

Thank you for the time, care, kindness and energy you bring to the shop and our community. From creating beautiful displays, helping customers find meaningful gifts, sharing the stories behind fair trade products, and simply making the space feel warm and welcoming - every contribution matters.

Because of you, the shop is more than just a store. It’s a place that supports ethical trade, community connection, and positive impact both locally and globally.

We truly appreciate everything you do and the heart you bring to the Bayswater shop. Thank you for being part of it 🌿

Thank you to everyone who came along to the Made in Baysie & Beyond Market yesterday 💛

A big thank you as well to the amazing organisers and stallholders for creating such a lovely community atmosphere across the Bridge District. It was wonderful to see so many people out supporting local makers, small businesses, and community spaces.

We loved being part of the day and welcoming so many new and familiar faces into the Oxfam Group Fair Trade shop WA

These beautiful Telephone Wire Baskets are more than just colour and craft.

This project was created in a rural farming community where unemployment is close to 80%. Over 400 people have been trained in beadwork, basket weaving and sewing - creating sustainable income and real opportunity.

The initiative also supports a community crèche and food scheme, helping families build brighter futures.

Yesterday we gathered to celebrate our achievements of 2025. The Oxfam Fair Trade Shop is fully run by volunteers, and it was wonderful to come together over food and drinks at the local Baysie.

It was a time of celebration and gratitude – acknowledging the significant contributions our volunteers make to the running of the shop and to the community.

A special congratulations to Ben, who received the Community Volunteering Award for his outstanding commitment.

And a big thank you to Bayswater Hotel and staff for their incredible generosity towards us, making us feel so welcome and supported 🙏🏽

Thank you to every volunteer who shows up, gives their time, and keeps our Fair Trade mission alive. We wouldn’t be here without you 💚
