Just when I start thinking it might be time to slow down a little with my spiritual work, Spirit seems to have other ideas and everything starts ramping up again! ❤️
I absolutely love my work with Spirit. It’s been such a huge part of my life for so many years, and while mediumship is often referred to as being of service, I’ve always felt it’s much more than that.
It’s not just what we do, it’s who we are . Over 50 years of Spirit connections with this beautiful work, I have had the privilege of witnessing the incredible healing, comfort and profound difference that Spirit’s work has brought to so many people’s lives.
That connection doesn’t simply switch off when we finish a reading or step down from the platform. Spirit is part of who I am and always will be, until my last breath and beyond.
But after years of working full time, five days a week with my spiritual practice, I am beginning to realise that something needs to change.
My husband Glenn’s recent heart failure and surgery has certainly brought a lot of things into perspective, and I also have my own health issues that need managing and deserve my attention.
Sometimes life has a way of making us reassess our priorities, even when we’re not quite ready to.
I love what I do, and that will never change. But I’m also very aware at the age of 67 that I need to find a healthier balance between my work with Spirit, my family, my own wellbeing and simply having time to enjoy life.
Perhaps the lesson for me now is realising that I can still give wholeheartedly to Spirit without giving every last bit of myself.
Slowing down doesn’t mean stepping away.
Rosslyn Sanctuary and some private readings will be continuing!
Perhaps after all these years, it’s time to take some of the advice I’ve so often given to others!
Lots of thoughts going through my mind at the moment.
