🏆 Celebrating our Amazing Volunteers 🏆

What a fantastic evening recognising and celebrating the incredible volunteers who give their time, energy and passion to our community.

Held at the fabulous Bayswater Hotel, the night was a wonderful opportunity to come together, enjoy great company, share plenty of laughs, reflect on our achievements and acknowledge the people who make so much of what we do possible.

Our volunteers do amazing work delivering the Bayswater Twilight Market, supporting the 6053 Pantry and helping local people in need, as well as advocating for and supporting initiatives that enhance and strengthen the Bayswater Town Centre.

It was also great to welcome and spend time with members of the LNCC, whose support and involvement in our community is greatly appreciated.

A special congratulations to our award winners:
👏 Craig Mariano
👏 Adam Scott – recipient of our Annual Fellowship Award

Thank you to every volunteer for your dedication, commitment and community spirit. The impact you make across our community is truly remarkable, and Bayswater is a better place because of you.

7-11 KING WILLIAM STREET WEBINAR -WHAT WE HEARD / SAW
We joined the webinar hosted by Community Housing Ltd, Parc, 361 Communications and Engagement, and their architects, Rothelowman.

We captured some screenshots of the presentation slides. (See below… click on them to see them in full)

The presenters outlined key aspects of the proposed building design, including plans to create an activated connection between KWS and the lane, relocating the Jacaranda tree and planting 21 mature replacement trees. They also highlighted the reuse of existing materials within elements of the new development including “Metters Lane" being named after the old Metters stove in 9 King William Street., They responded to some questions about height and setbacks, as well as issues around social and affordable housing, car parking and rubbish collection,

While some questions were addressed during the session, not all were answered. We really hope that all unanswered questions will be followed up, ideally through updates on the project website.

We also believe it would also be beneficial if the full presentation were made publicly available, rather than only shared with those who registered for the webinar.

The CHL Team indicated people can contact them by email if they want to know more or have questions. We suggest you do that if you want clarity on any issues. The email address is [email protected]

They advised that further information will be provided if/when the project progresses.

Details on the weblink below.
There is also a webinar tomorrow night (Tuesday) listed on the site. Registration is required and questions can be submitted prior to the session. Details are on the website.

CHL delivers safe, secure and affordable places for people to call home and belong, because every life deserves a solid foundation.

Thanks Bendigo Bank Bayswater !

Since its inception, the Future Bayswater 6053 Community Pantry has been a beacon of hope, providing vital support to those who need it most in the Bayswater community. With our funding support of $5,000, we have been able to enable Future Bayswater to purchase groceries and products from local Bayswater stores, with a focus on our neighbour IGA Local Grocer Bayswater , which not only helps those in need but also boosts our local economy! 💪
