Thank you to everyone who came to meet us at Elm St Mission yesterday - including Robert Williams - Dinsdale Ward Councillor, Knox City Council, Alison Treeby from Knox City Council, Mandy and Adriana from Volunteer for Knox, and Anne from Knox Infolink!

It was wonderful to make new friends in the community. We are open Mondays-Wednesdays-Fridays (10 am - 2 pm) if you'd like to come by and have a chat.

Hi friends - and new friends we hope to meet on Wednesday, 15 July for our 'Open Door' Day! (10 am - 2 pm)

Here's our Term 3 program.

'Open Door' is for anyone who enjoys light activities, board games, having a cuppa and chat - and being welcomed for who they are. Mon-Wed-Friday (with light lunch at 12 pm).

'Care4Carers' is for women carers to connect with other carers. Thursdays 10.30 am - 12 pm.

'50s+ Friends' is for men and women aged 50 and older for social connection. Thursdays 1 - 2.30 pm.

SAVE THE DATE. You're invited to our Community 'Open Door' Day on Wednesday, 15 July! Elm St Mission is a safe gathering place for adults to enjoy social connection - and be welcomed for who you are. We have 3 regular programs: Open Door, Care4Carers and 50s+ Friends. There's something for everyone! All free. So, come and meet our friendly volunteers and activity leaders.

Our 'Open Door' Day is from 10 am - 2 pm. Enjoy snacks, music, activities and more! See what Elm St Mission can offer you, a family member or friend. If you're a little rusty spending time with others or having conversations, don't worry. Being with people is what we're all about!

Hi everyone, quick reminder that Elm St Mission is closed on Monday, 8 June. It's the King's Birthday public holiday. Whatever you do (see folks you like, enjoy the outdoors or stay indoors and have a marmalade sandwich), stay well and we'll see you again on Wednesday, 10 June. Wednesdays are music (morning) and movement and mindfulness (after lunch).

Shout out to Mandy and Adriana at Volunteer for Knox who organised another brilliant Volunteering Expo! And Knox City Council for supporting this important work. We had great conversations with Councillors and Council workers.

It was fantastic to meet other community groups - and individuals - so keen to make a difference in people's lives.

One woman said she's lived in Knox for 30 years and never knew about all these amazing organisations. Kudos Volunteer for Knox for bringing people together.

And huge thanks to our wonderful volunteers for the work they do for Elm St Mission - and all the delight they bring into people's lives. Indi, Elia, Wilma and Joy - thanks for being there today. 😍

We are ready for another term of wonderful activities and social connection!

Elm St Mission is open 4 days each week:
- Mondays: Art and craft, free lunch, armchair exercise
- Wednesdays: Music and singing, free lunch, movement and mindfulness
-Thursdays: Care4Carers (for women carers), 10.30 am - 12 pm, with morning tea
- Thursdays: 50s+ Friends (for men and women), 1 - 2.30 pm, with afternoon tea
- Fridays: Music and storytelling, free lunch, bingo

Elm St Mission will be closed from Good Friday, 3 April until 19 April.
