Greg James' iconic statue 'Bella' in Fremantle - symbol of freedom, fun and being unapologetically yourself - was a joy for these ECHO clients to meet (L–R: Angelina, Grace and Myrna). The ladies had enjoyed a fresh fish lunch at Kailis on Fishing Boat Harbour, driven and hosted by our Volunteer Coordinator RJ, who took this wonderful snap. If you'd like to accompany some older people on similar adventures, we're always looking for volunteers to drive or assist. It's a very fulfilling way to use some of your spare time. Volunteer driver Rob promenades with ECHO client Rosemarie alongside Trigg Beach on a sunny July day in this lovely photo. A small group of our clients enjoyed a cafe-and-stroll outing at Trigg to make the most of the winter weather. Taking the sun on a park bench are clients Epsipa and Angelina. Nothing like fresh sea air and good companions to lift the spirits.

Myaree was the destination for this delicious day out for ECHO clients. Our volunteer bus driver Max first brought this small party of clients to explore the local op shops and see what treasures they could find. It was a lot of fun, with quite a bit of nostalgia involved. Once everyone was done with their retail therapy, it was time for lunch, and a sumptuous sushi meal was tucked into amidst some lively conversation. You can see Clients Myrna and Teresa solving the world's problems here over sushi rolls. [Pictured in the group shot (L–R) are Teresa, Myrna, Margaret, Mercia, volunteer driver Max, and Angelina.] If you'd like to volunteer to enrich the lives of older people, we're always looking for additional bus drivers and bus assistants. Taking advantage of some remarkably sunny winter weather, ECHO volunteer Bella (third from right) went for a lovely stroll with a group of clients in Kings Park. They're seen here near the Synergy Playground, with its 'treetop walk' and big stone dinosaurs. ECHO arranges several outings like this every week, bringing fun social interaction and fresh-air exercise to older people living at home. A cheerful bunch of our clients hopped on an ECHO bus on April 23 for an ANZAC-themed lunch at the Harold Hawthorne facility. It’s one of many planned outings we conduct through the year as part of our Social Support in a Group services, keeping older people connected and engaged and enjoying life. On the bus for this event were: Anton Sontag, Grace Sukroo, Carlo & Carmella Ranelli, Pamela Rose Italiano, Judith Byrne, Mario Del Borrello, Myrna McGinn, Teresa Shaw, Epsipa Harfoushian and Coral Bowers. Our volunteer driver Henry Alberts snapped these shots of ECHO clients taking in the Autumn sunshine at Point Perron beach on April 22. Pictured in our three-shot: Myrna McGinn, Epsipa Harfoushian and Bernie Arrah, all looking appropriately sunny in this glorious location. Fresh air and friendship are regularly provided by ECHO as part of our Social Support in a Group services for older people living independently. The outings are always fun.
