Pelvic pain is real. Young people deserve to be heard. πŸ’œ

Heavy periods, pelvic pain, and vaginal or vulval pain can have a significant impact on a young person's everyday life. It shouldn't simply be something they are told to put up with.

The Kids and Teens Pelvic Pain Clinical Network, based at The Royal Children's Hospital, is a statewide service supporting young people under 18 experiencing pelvic pain.

The service provides easy-to-understand information, practical advice and support to help young people and their families navigate health services.

If you or someone you know is experiencing pelvic pain, resources and support are available.

🌈 Silver Sisters: Connection, Community & Celebration πŸ’œ

On Saturday 10th October, Silver Sisters and Glen Park Community Centre hosted a very special social event, bringing together those who identify as LGBTQIA+ females aged 45ish and over for an afternoon of connection, conversation and celebration.

The event provided a welcoming and inclusive space for attendees to meet new people, share experiences, ask questions and strengthen connections within the community. The afternoon was all about celebrating community, fostering a sense of belonging and creating safe spaces where everyone feels welcome and valued.

A huge thank you to Sergeant Natalie, LGBTQIA+ Liaison Officer from , for joining us, sharing her knowledge and helping foster open, meaningful conversations. Your presence helped create a welcoming environment where attendees could feel more comfortable asking questions and connecting with police.

Thank you to Theresa Problem and Annie Social from for bringing the entertainment, laughter and fun to the day.

And of course, thank you to Deb & Kelsee from our Hungry 4 Success - Catering team for serving up some mouth watering food for us all to enjoy.

This event was proudly supported by the Pride Events & Fesitvals Fund.
Glen Park Community Centre acknowledges the support of the Victorian Government.

If you have seen our other posts about these sugar cookies then you will know how much sweat, tears and some swears have gone into making these bad boys! (it wasn't that bad, was it Chef Naomi? πŸ˜…)

This was a new venture for us and Chef Naomi & Delthea did such an amazing job. We are so incredibly proud to be able to put these beauties together for ACE Vic.

Guess what? We may have made a few too many so you can try them yourself at our Cafe's! You're welcome 😏
