It wouldn't be winter without a trip to the chalet ❄️ And although there may have been less snow this year, there certainly wasn't less Bays Region Rovers.

Rovers from our Region once again made the 12km journey across the Bogong High Plains to the Bogong Rover Chalet ⚜️ Some on skis, some on snow shoes and some in hiking boots with their skis on their backs!

Learning new skills, making new friendships and seeing what Alpine Victoria has to offer.

Interested in joining the Bogong Chalet Management Group? Head along to their AGM & ARAP tonight, 7:30pm at The Victorian Rover Centre, 1A Highland Ave, Oakleigh.

This winter, a few of our Units spent a weekend at the snow up at the W.F. Waters Ski Lodge!

Located on Mt Baw Baw, the lodge is in a prime location to explore the mountain and then warm up inside by the nice warm fire ❄️🔥

The Rovers enjoyed a weekend of snow fights, skiing, tobogganing, and hiking, and when the weather wasn't on their side they hung out in the cosy lodge where they chatted, played pool and shared meals together.

Interested in joining the management group that keeps the W.F. Waters Lodge run by Rovers, for Rovers? Head along to their AGM tomorrow, 11am on Saturday the 10th of October at the Victorian Rover Centre, 1A Highland Avenue, Oakleigh East.

A.B. Balcombe Rovers are an active group based on the Mornington Peninsula who enjoy a wide range of activities like skiing, beach nights, four wheel driving, craft and other fun things.

Come join us at our monthly Bays Region meeting! Hear what our Units have been up to and find out what's coming up.

This month's hosts Mavis Rover Unit ⚜️ love to get out and about, attending as many Scouting events as their calenders will allow.
Mavis Rovers also represent Bays across many committees and activity teams.

We'd love to see you at 1st South Franskton Scout Hall (1 Bentley Place, Franskton) at 7:30PM.

And as always, there will be Tic Toc biscuits 😋

On Saturday Bays Rovers were proud to attend and volunteer at ANZAC Day services across Victoria, standing alongside communities as we honoured the courage, sacrifice and service of our veterans past and present.

From dawn services to commemorative marches, it was a privilege to help support these meaningful events and witness so many Victorians coming together in remembrance.

We thank all volunteers, organisers, service personnel and community members who helped make the day so special.

Bays goes to Baw Baw!

Last month Bays Region Rovers went on a summer retreat to Mt Baw Baw, where we stayed at the renowned W.F. Waters Lodge.

There we enjoyed a weekend of board games, pool, cooking, getting to know each other better and nature walks.

It was a great weekend spent with friends and our Rover Units are very excited for their upcoming winter weekends.
