[email protected] SMART Animal Sanctuary & Rehoming Centre is a dedicated not for profit organisation based in the Snowy Valleys, focused on helping dogs find safe, loving homes. We rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome dogs who need a second chance, ensuring their physical and emotional wellbeing is always the priority. Each dog is assessed as an individual, allowing us to carefully match them with suitable adopters and set them up for long term success. Our work is supported by committed staff, volunteers, foster carers, and community members who share our belief that every dog deserves compassion and stability. Through education and responsible pet ownership, we aim to create positive outcomes for both dogs and families. SMART Animal Sanctuary exists to advocate for dogs who cannot speak for themselves and to build brighter futures where dogs and valued, understood, and truly loved. We rely on donations, and kindness to continue lifesaving work across communities throughout Australia. All donations are tax deductible and greatly appreciated. Please help us to "Help the Helpless"

Phoebe has someone coming to meet her on Thursday.

💛 LOCAL FOSTER CARER NEEDED FOR PHOEBE 💛

Our beautiful Phoebe deserves a loving foster home to rest her head while we continue working on her medical needs. Could you give her that chance? 🐾

Phoebe is an 18-month-old female Golden Retriever. She is a little shy and would love to leave shelter life behind for the comfort of a caring family.

Phoebe has urinary incontinence. We have been trialling medication to help manage it, and she is now only leaking a small amount overnight. She needs someone patient and understanding who can manage the occasional accident with kindness. 💛

She is unsure around larger dogs but seems comfortable with smaller dogs.

Please read these requirements before applying:

🐾 Live within 1½ hours of Batlow.
🐾 Have a securely fenced backyard.
🐾 Be able to collect Phoebe and bring her back to our Batlow shelter when needed.
🐾 Be able to take her to our nominated vet in Tumbarumba—her veterinary care must stay with this clinic.

We can supply food, a lead and a collar. Phoebe’s routine vet work is complete.

You bring the love, patience and a welcoming home—and be prepared to fall in love. 🥰

If you can offer Phoebe a foster home and meet these requirements, please message SMART Animal Sanctuary & Rehoming Centre.

Please share to help us find Phoebe the home comfort she deserves. 💛
