4 April 1876 was an important day in Bathurst’s story: the day when the railway opened in town. This event changed Bathurst in many ways, including the provision of many employment opportunities. Join members of Bathurst Family History Group for a wander around a section of Bathurst General Cemetery to learn some of the railway stories behind the headstones. Enjoy a delicious afternoon tea supplied by the Group. Bring a hat, water and sunscreen. Please wear sturdy walking shoes.

Our Research Centre will be closed on Thurs 12th Feb to allow our volunteers to attend the funeral of the group's founder and Life Member, Carol Churches. A life well lived. Rest in peace Carol.
