BNA has made the following changes to the 2023 procedures. The new procedure will be available on the BNA website at some point, if you would like a copy of the full procedures please message or email us

* We now require additional proof for players to keep their piercings in. This proof must be in the form of a Doctor's Certificate which clearly states the medical reason why the player cannot take out the piercing and this certificate must be emailed to the committee for approval prior to the player taking the court.

* Age limit for Colts increased to 18 years of age

* Umpires will now be responsible for taking scoreboards to the Court prior to the start of the games.

* Forfeit rule remains unchanged - 3 forfeits by one team means disqualification from the competition but an additional point has been added that exemptions to this rule may be considered by the BNA Executive Committee.

* Wet Weather decisions will be communicated via Facebook. Morning game decisions will be made by 8am. Afternoon game decisions will be made at the earliest possible convenience.

* NetSetGo - we require all coaches to sign contracts at the start of the season confirming they will adhere to the rules of NetSetGo and that each player must play at least 2 quarters of every game. If these rules are continually breached, sanctions will be put in place against the offending coach.

*Covid - we have removed the majority of the Covid rules with the exception of - If you are unwell, or have tested positive to Covid, players should not attend training or competition matches.

BNA has been discussing ways to try and eliminate umpire/player fatigue on match days with two potential ideas put forward and are seeking feedback / support by members.
