We are a centre-based day care centre for older people who are frail aged, people with a disability and their carers who live in the Bathurst Regional Area. Our service aims to enable people in the Bathurst Region to live independently and participate in community life. eople who are frail aged, people with dementia and people with disabilities, and to provide support for their carers. BSC’s services promote opportunities for social interaction and participation in a broad range of stimulating activities. We also provide centre based respite for carers so that they can have a break from their caring role for a few hours. We undertake an assessment to ensure eligibility when new people join our service. We welcome people from all cultures. Who knows, you might bump into an old mate, make new friends or begin a life-long friendship. We aim to provphotoide as many options and choices as possible, so that the independence of older people is increased. Our centre offers a safe, friendly and welcoming environment so that older people can learn new skills and are encouraged to keep healthy and active. We provide a range of games, music, outings, entertainment, guest speakers, bingo, knitting club, cooking club, arts & crafts, bus drives, theme days, local walks, manicures, cards & euchre, quizzes and activities tailored to meet the individual needs of our clients. We provide respite for carers. Our service provides transport to and from our centre (if required), subject to where you live. Just give us a call and we will work out the details. We provide morning tea, a two course home-style lunch and afternoon tea. A small daily fee applies. Our service is open Monday to Friday from 8.30am–5pm.
