The Maltese club was pumping last night!! Such a warm atmosphere 🍲 it was great to see new faces, as well as our regulars, and THREE of our esteemed past presidents!

Many thanks to our volunteers, who worked at double time to keep up with the demand, and did a wonderful job (I didn't manage a photo of Sam- I'll get him next time!).

✨Also, this is a reminder to get your tickets for our dinner dance. Events like this will continue to be offered if our community supports them, so please do!! ✨

A: 100% yes! We love welcoming partners, friends, neighbors, and anyone who enjoys great food, rich culture, and fantastic company. You don’t need a drop of Maltese blood to be part of our family.

Q: My parents or grandparents are Maltese, but I don’t speak the language. Am I welcome?
A: Absolutely. You are the exact reason we are here—to keep the connection to our heritage alive across generations. Whether you know the full language or just know how to say "Mela!", you belong here.

Q: Do I have to be an official, card-carrying member to attend?
A: Not at all! While we love our members, our doors and events are open to everyone. Come along, see what we're about, and enjoy the vibe.

Celebrate the heart of Maltese tradition with Festa L’Imnarja! 🌿🕯️

Originally a harvest festival dating back to the Middle Ages, this vibrant celebration honors St. Peter and St. Paul with a unique blend of folk music (Għana), traditional horse races, and the famous feasts at Buskett Gardens. It’s a beautiful night where the community comes together under the summer stars to keep our rich cultural heritage alive. ✨

MAWA is hosting a dinner-dance to celebrate the festa, and we would love to both members and new faces there!
