Our textile team is armed with sewing machines and a mission: save your favourite things from landfill! 🧵✨

Got a hole, a tear, or a “maybe this can still be saved?” item? Sewing magicians, Kerry, Pauline and Warren, will be at Repair Cafe this morning to help - one stitch at a time. 🪡

Before you bin it, bring it! Your broken bits deserve a second chance (and our volunteers love a challenge). 😄

Once again, our friends at Grill’d Ascot have included us in their Local Matters fundraising event.

It’s as easy as going in for a delicious meal and popping a bottle top into the jar labeled Repair Café Bassendean

If we get the most bottle tops, we receive a cash donation which we can use to buy equipment or consumables to assist us in providing our free service to our community.

Our March Repair Cafe is just about to open the doors.

Please be advised that we only have 1 electrical volunteer today so will not be accepting many items for repair.

If you have any skills in repairing electronic or electrical items, and have a few hours to spare one Sunday a month, please let us know. We’d love to see you.

Thanks to everyone who came along to support us today. Our volunteers fixed a range of items from vintage draws and chairs and this string of fairly lights that Priya was thrilled with. We even fixed a piano keyboard and were treated to a short recital by the grateful owner.
