Have you booked your place for this Sunday 14th June, 'Join the circular economy in the garden and small farm'? Each participant gets a free take home kit of open pollinated vege seeds and composting material including biochar and rock dust.
So what's all this about a circular economy?
Our first presenter, Moragh Mackay from Mycelia Collective will show how our current economy is largely based on Take-Make-Waste, including in our farms and gardens, and how a Regenerative economy that puts back more than it takes, helps soil get healthier, water get cleaner and communities get stronger.
Our second presenter Rick Coleman from Southern Cross Permaculture institute will take this a step further, discussing solving the world's problems in a practical way, including building water resilience (El Nino is on the way), composting, veggies in the home economy and of course the many forms of life-giving fertilizers.
A yummy lunch, tour of the River Garden and our last presenter, our own Lisa Wangman, will present on how seed saving in the garden and small farm is the perfect circular system to embrace, giving you increased yield and resilience through adaptations to local environments. Take home your pack of seeds and fertiliser additives and you can put all of this into practice at home.
Date/Time: Sunday the 14th of June, 10.00 to 3.30pm
