Grom comp this Saturday and conditions are looking really good (apart from maybe a small shower) Being first comp of the season and not really sure of the numbers we will do our best to stick to planned schedule but can’t promise we won’t run overtime if numbers are big. Make sure you are signed up as a member via liveheats and join the 13th beach boardriders WhatsApp grom group to see schedule and any updates. Let’s get some big numbers there for what’s looking like awesome waves. Bbq will be going and will need helpers for jugding, set up, pack up etc. Cheers

Not the end result we wanted today. But to have a father and daughter surf in the same team was the highlight- well done Mouse n Phoebe!!! Everyone did a great job and stood up when needed, thanks to the support crew that came along and massive thanks to 4D Surfboards for the coaching.
Time for a rest !

Hey everyone. Comp season is kicking off next weekend with grom comp1 scheduled for next Saturday. Conditions looking good this far out. Make sure you get onto live heats to get your memberships before Saturday. The bbq will be firing thanks to Barwon heads IGA so hope to see a big crew at the beach. We will need helpers for judging etc so please get along. Will update later in week of heat times once we get a better gauge on conditions. It’s going to be a massive season so let’s kick it off with a big comp 1
Also good luck to everyone competing ABB teams challenge tomorrow at phillip island tomorrow. Pretty sure you can watch on YouTube.

Recap! Day 25 -28!
Day 25 - OG perfection, tiny rollers, summer vibes, bbq scent filling OG main beach. The groms really made the day absolutely magical bringing along their own Lil biz ideas to sell and raise money for SurfAid. And the people loved it!

And it showed!!
They raised $1300! And 13th Beach topped it up with another $500!! Legends of the club supporting the groms!

Then Down hill from here:

Day 26 - AFL granny, the surf and weather switched back to regular Sept programing. It was a short and sharp surf to get to the epic play off between Bris & Dockers.

Day 27 - Repeat average conditions... and was it the NRL final too? We're Victorian, sooo 🤷‍♀️

Day 28 - Again, not great conditions until news drops!! Its double donation day on the 29th!!

Day 29 - Predictions for awesome offshore conditions to match the hype of 'Double Donation Day' the fave days of the month! And this also marks 2nd last day of Sept ... what a month it's been.

Hey groms. A new season is just around the corner with first comp scheduled for 10th October. We are looking forward to seeing you all there shredding. Before that we have a couple of events to kick season off. Friday 25 September we are going to have a bbq down on the grass at OG main beach firstly to say a massive well done to the amazing crew who have raised a stack of $ for surf aid. A truely huge effort and secondly to welcome everyone back for a new season and to all have a surf together. Bbq provided and there will be drinks for sale and some other fundraisers. The club will match what we make to donate back to our surf aid groms so let’s all get along. 1pm kick off and don’t forget it’s a public holiday. Also jump on live heats to get your memberships and join the WhatsApp groms 26-27 group to keep up to date with club info and for any questions you have Thanks, Brendan
