Last October when the Bushtracker Caravan Group visited the Riverland with some 140 caravans, their
group while visiting all our Sites and venues the area has to offer, also bringing investment into our Region.
The Group Members were fund raising amongst themselves, all funds raised were donated within our areas
to various Community Groups within the Riverland.
In all they raised between $15,000 to $20,000 which was all donated within our Community at a presentation that was held on Saturday 4th October 2025.
The Barmera Community Men’s Shed was nominated as one of the many worthy groups, for which we were
granted $2,000 to put towards the purchase of a Carbatec Spiral Cutter Wood Planer.
We purchased this and invited Mayor Ella Winnall along to the Shed on Monday 30th March to see and
commission the new machinery for it’s use within the workshop.
Mayor Ella Winnall puts a lot of her valuable time into fostering Visitors to the Riverland Region, plus supporting many Riverland Groups to enable them to all carry on the valued work they provide within the District to keep the Community aware of the input all groups have within our areas of assistance to the Community.
A big thank you to Bushtracker Caravan Group, it is a generous thing that your group does to which they
may go unnoticed at times, but keep up the good work, it is much appreciated especially by all of the members of the Barmera Men’s Shed.
Special thanks to: President Bill Phal, Vice President Steve McDonald, Secretary Nerilee Reid, Treasure
