Some mornings begin with a meeting.
Some begin with an email.

Around here, they begin with frost on the paddocks, boots on the ground, and the promise of another day growing food for our communities.

This is the Murray region.

This is where your produce begins.

From the Murray region, with pride.

WMLIG staff are delighted to be assisting Cohuna Consolidated School with the River Detectives program.

River Detectives is all about connecting young people to nature. The program provides engaging, cross-curricular citizen-science activities including water quality testing, water-bug sampling, and habitat surveys. Students will be learning about the health of the Gunbower Creek and how integral it is to healthy ecosystems and healthy communities. You can learn more about the program here: https://www.nccma.vic.gov.au/get-involved/citizen-science/river-detectives/

A great day out was had by all at the WMLIG Pasture to Plate Event last week.
39 people came along to Burraboi to discuss improving biodiversity on working farms. The Weather Gods smiled on us and the property looked fantastic after recent rains with everyone enjoying a bbq lunch featuring produce from the property next to the campfire.

A huge thanks goes out to Pattison Pastoral for hosting,
With additional thanks to my speakers:
Hayley (Pattison Pastoral)
Luke (ReGen Farming)
Roger (WMLIG)
Emily (LLS)
Nigel (BCT)

This event was brought to you by the WMLIG with funding from the NSW Biodiversity Conservation Trust.
