Stage 1 complete!
24 Western Murray landholders just finished our two-day farm planning course exploring carbon, biodiversity and Nature Repair opportunities on their properties — rating the workshops 4.94/5, with over 80% keen to participate in stage 2!.
Thanks to everyone who came along in Barham and Deniliquin. 5 properties will now progress to detailed assessments and financial modelling.

Last week, representatives from 24 properties across our region attended day one of Western Murray's Farm Planning for environmental carbon workshops in Deni and Barham. It certainly raised some interest looking at the economic opportunities of diversifying businesses with carbon farming opportunities. WMLIG is looking forward to day two tomorrow and Thursday!!

Today's project 🌱
We are verified as generative graziers
There are very few market indicators encouraging farmers to be regenerative. The government has recognised that and are offering incentives to farmers that have biodiversity or carbon.
We are looking into seeing if our operation fits into that.
