🌟 P&C AGM – Coming in March! 🌟

The Annual General Meeting will be held on 4th March at 6:30pm in the library at Bardia Public School. This is your opportunity to get involved in the celebration of the year that was and to take up and vote on the P&C Executive positions.

At the AGM, you can:

✨ Nominate for a role within the P&C Executive
🤝 Contribute to decision-making that supports our school community
🌱 Work alongside a supportive team who will guide and mentor you in your role
📚 Take on a position even with little or no prior experience
💡 Use your enthusiasm, ideas, and drive to make a meaningful contribution

📣 Update from the P&C

The P&C have made the difficult decision to suspend the collection of pre loved school uniforms for our second hand clothing stall until further notice.

This has been a wonderful community project that we are incredibly proud of, and we want to sincerely thank everyone for your generous donations and ongoing support over the years. 💙

We are so grateful to have been able to run this fundraising initiative in the past, however, we will be suspending the collection of uniforms, effective immediately.

💐2025 Bardia PS P&C Mothers Day Stall 💐

💕 Celebrate Mother’s Day with gifts from the Bardia PS P&C Mother’s Day stall, being held next Thursday, May 8th!

✨Student will discover a treasure trove of thoughtful gifts priced at $10 and under, ensuring there’s something special for every mum and/or mothering figure in our students’ lives.

🛍️ Don’t forget to send cash with your child so they can purchase something memorable, as classes will be visiting the P&C Mother’s Day stall throughout the day. Please also send a paper or plastic bag for the gift to be transported home safely.

⚠️ Please note - There are no plans to hold any “Pop-Up Stalls” as per previous years, so please set yourself a reminder to pop money in your child’s bag so they don’t miss out! ☺️

You may have noticed we’ve been a little quiet of late…

Sadly, we recently lost a dear friend, with the sudden passing of one of our much loved foundation members, Helen Bettison.

Daughter of Alan. Sister to Alex, Vincent, Johnny & Aaron. We pay our respects and offer sincerest condolences to Helen’s entire family, especially her 3 young children. She will be terribly missed by everyone who knew her.

As a Bardia Public School parent, Helen’s contributions to the P&C throughout the years were consistently remarkable. Regardless of her own busy schedule as a single mum of 3, she always came through when we were in need. Helen wasn’t afraid of hard work, always willing to roll up her sleeves, and get stuck in to help our BPS community.

Helen’s fun and happy nature brought spark to every room she stepped into, and she could often be observed singing aloud while turning sausages at our fundraising BBQs, laughing and telling jokes with fellow members, or busting out some dance moves at working bees to lift the mood and make people smile. Helen was magic. She knew how to get people having fun and she left you feeling lighter for simply having been around her. We will cherish the memories we made with her for years to come.

A GoFund account has been set up in the hope to help provide some financial support to Helen’s children as they begin navigate not only a funeral, but also the next few months without their loving mum.
