Large Language Models (LLMs) like ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, and Gemini are advancing rapidly and their use is becoming mainstream. But is this the limit of their potential?

The Model Context Protocol (MCP) represents the next evolution. MCP enables LLMs to connect with external software like APIs, databases, or web servers, unlocking powerful new possibilities beyond text processing.

If you’re ready to take the leap into this next frontier, join our Coding Masterclass with Alex Holder from Coder Academy. You’ll learn the fundamentals of MCP, explore how it works in practice, and discover how different LLM clients can leverage your MCP server.

Delivered online, this interactive session is your opportunity to gain hands-on experience and expert guidance as you build and test in real time.

AI is transforming data analytics... but only if we learn how to ask it the right questions.

The September ACS NSW Branch Forum event sparked thoughtful discussion around the practical use of AI in data analytics. Dr Dan King, Principal AI and Data Scientist at Traffyk.ai, led the conversation by sharing game-changing insights on how data fuels real AI transformation.

One powerful insight from the audience was that AI often gives the average answer, not the best. The key? Building clear roles and communicating effectively with AI engines to unlock the right solutions - prompt engineering is quickly becoming a critical skill.

Many data analytics students shared that the session helped them realise the need to specialise further in AI engines to stay competitive and relevant. Hearing from Dan reinforced that it’s not just about using AI tools—but understanding how to guide them.

❓What’s your approach to getting the most out of AI? Have you found ways to move beyond average answers to truly valuable insights?
