Mia’s speaks with gratitude for Mum’s in Distress, (MIDs) after the mother of 2 considered taking her own life. One Monday the 12 year old son she adores left for school without saying a word. Tuesday she received a call from him saying “I’m not coming back…”

Mia recalls people being supportive at the start, then nothing. “That’s the hardest part, you know your child is living, but you can’t be near them, that’s what you want as a Mum. We grieve the loss of the child… That’s when MIDs helps,” she says, “No-one else helps Mums in that phase.”
