900 of the next generation of River Red Gums and other native trees, shrubs and grasses were put in the ground along the Leigh River at Shelford on Saturday 25th July. Thanks to the 20 community members who travelled from different areas of our region to take part in improving the environment of the lovely Leigh River. You are awesome! 🙂 Big thanks to Susan for the delicious lunch.

If you were thinking of coming along, but you couldn't make it, please keep an eye out for one of our future events... we are always keen to welcome anyone who would like to participate, even if you can only come for a short time or you can only do light work - it all helps.

This event was a collaboration between the Shelford Recreation Reserve Committee of Management, the Corangamite Catchment Management Authority and the Geelong Landcare Network, with the Leigh District Landcare Group, supported by the Victorian Government through the Green Links program.
