Atwell Cub Scouts had a great sleepover and hike adventure ar Kalamunda Scout Hall. Lots of scouting skills including Bushcraft, Bushwalking and Campfire cooking.

Today being Father’s Day, what better was to show Your thanks than to cook something they would enjoy… and yes they did!!! Atwell Scouts doing camp oven cooking to show appreciation to the ones that matter to them. Following the fire safety covered last Monday the successfully cooked a variety of dampers and a sausage one pot stew.
Thanks to all parents attending today enjoying the food the scouts cooked for us all. 🙏💪👍❤️

Monday night Atwell Scouts were treated to a fantastic evening at Jandakot Volunteer Bushfire Brigade. The Volunteers gave up their time to give Scouts various safety briefings and supplied valuable information on what to do and what to be aware of in the case of a fire. They then showed the Scouts the protective clothing and equipment they use when tackling bushfires. The Scouts were given the opportunity to use hoses and get inside the fire trucks and see the safety equipment built into the trucks incase they get caught out.
Atwell community and the wider State community are grateful for all the hard work and commitment your crews do. Such a pleasure to have the opportunity to see first hand what is involved in the work you all do.
Thank you All ❤️🙏❤️ The Scouts will remember this opportunity forever.

Today we went exploring Mandurah.
Scout led activity where the caught the train and bus to the Foreshore, and explored both sides to the inlet. They found a playground to explore and enjoy.
Then back up to the main area where we had a lovely lunch at Sharky’s (well worth a visit) Then back out to explore the market and an ice cream before catching the bus back to the train station. Thanks all who came, senior scouts for your leadership and thanks for the laughs 😊

This Wednesday was a special night with our District Commissioner presenting Wicket with his Certificate of Proficiency.
Well done for taking the step to becoming a Leader. Without parents joining the Leader Team we can’t provide this wonderful activity.
