"A Word of Distinction"
Jeremiah 30:4–11 | Hebrews 12:6

As Jerusalem faced destruction, exile, and despair, God spoke a tiny word that changed everything:

Yet.

Three letters.
One word.
A promise strong enough to sustain a nation in exile.

When God's people could see only distress, God promised salvation.
When they could see only Babylon, God saw restoration.
When they could not yet see the Messiah, God was already preparing salvation through Jesus Christ.

Join us this Sunday as we explore one of the most hope-filled passages in Jeremiah and discover why God's promises are always Y.E.T. — Yes Every Time in Christ.

This Sunday at Balranald Presbyterian Church we continue our series in Jeremiah with a message from Jeremiah 30:1-3 and Hebrews 6:17-20 titled:

"A Book of Hope"

As Jerusalem stood on the brink of destruction and exile, God commanded Jeremiah to write a book—not a book of despair, but a book of hope.

Before the suffering came, God gave His people promises.
Before the exile arrived, God prepared comfort.
Before the tears were shed, God declared: "The days are coming..."

In Hebrews we discover why that hope is so certain. God's promises are anchored not in changing circumstances, but in His unchanging character. And more than that, our hope is secured by Jesus Christ, who has entered the presence of God as our Forerunner on behalf of His people.

If you are facing uncertain days, come and hear about the sure and steadfast hope that God gives to all who trust in Christ.

This Sunday at Balranald Presbyterian Church from 10.00am we continue our series in Jeremiah and Hebrews with a message from Jeremiah 29 and Hebrews 11:13–16:

"The City's Welfare"

Far from home and surrounded by uncertainty, the exiles longed for a quick return to Jerusalem. Yet God's message was not, "Wait until life improves," but, "Live faithfully where I have placed you."

Build houses.
Plant gardens.
Seek the welfare of the city.

As Christians, we too live as pilgrims and strangers in this world. We work, serve, pray, and love our neighbours, while looking forward to a better country and a heavenly city whose builder and maker is God.

Join us as we explore what it means to live faithfully in the present while keeping our eyes fixed on the promises of God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who brings His people home.

This Sunday at Balranald Presbyterian Church we continue our series through Jeremiah with a message from Jeremiah 27–28 and Hebrews 12:18–24, titled:

"The Yoke of the Lord"

In a world that values independence and self-rule, Jeremiah was called to wear a yoke around his neck as a living message from God. While false prophets promised an easy path and a quick escape, Jeremiah proclaimed a harder truth: true peace is found not in resisting God, but in trusting Him.

What happens when God's plans are different from our own? How do we respond when life places burdens upon us that we would never choose for ourselves?

Most importantly, how does Jeremiah's message point us to Jesus Christ, the One who bore the greater burden so that we might receive grace, forgiveness, and rest?

We would love for you to join us as we open God's Word together and discover why the safest place in all the world is under the Lordship of Christ.

This Sunday at Balranald Presbyterian Church we continue our series in Jeremiah and Hebrews with a message titled:

"The Unshakeable Kingdom"

📖 Readings:
Jeremiah 25:1–14
Hebrews 12:25–29

Jeremiah speaks into a world of trembling nations, rising empires, and coming judgement. Babylon is rising. Judah is about to be shaken. Yet behind it all stands the sovereign hand of God directing history according to His purposes.

But Jeremiah’s message does not end in despair.

Hebrews lifts our eyes beyond the shaking of earthly kingdoms to the eternal kingdom of Christ — the kingdom that cannot be shaken.

In a world filled with uncertainty, noise, and instability, this passage reminds us that:
• kingdoms rise and fall,
• nations tremble,
• human strength fades,
but Jesus Christ reigns forever.

We would love for you to join us as we open God’s Word together and hear once again of the sovereign grace, mercy, and unshakable kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ.

“All things are from Him and through Him and to Him. To Him be glory forever. Amen.” (Romans 11:36)

Tomorrow at Balranald Presbyterian Church at 10.00am, we continue our Jeremiah–Hebrews series

“The Fire of God’s Word”
Jeremiah 23:16–29
Hebrews 4:12

In a world full of competing voices, opinions, and promises of peace, how do we know what is true?

Through the prophet Jeremiah, God warns His people about false words that comfort without repentance and promise peace without holiness. Yet against all the empty voices of the world stands the living and powerful Word of God — like fire and like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces.

Together we will explore the contrast between straw and wheat, false reassurance and true life, and ultimately see how Jesus Christ is the final and faithful Word from the Father — the Bread of Life for starving souls.

All are warmly welcome to join us as we gather around God’s Word together.

This Sunday at Balranald Presbyterian Church at 10.00am we continue our series in Jeremiah with a message titled:

“The LORD is our Righteousness”
Jeremiah 23:1–6 & Hebrews 13:20–21

In a world filled with uncertainty, fear, and brokenness, Jeremiah speaks of false shepherds who scattered the flock. But God also gives a glorious promise — a righteous Shepherd-King who will gather His people, keep them secure, and lead them safely home.

Join us as we look at the comfort and hope found in the Lord Jesus Christ:
The Shepherd who gathers.
The Shepherd who keeps.
The Shepherd who intercedes.
The Shepherd who brings His people home.

“The LORD is our righteousness.”

We would love to welcome you as we worship together and hear the Word of God.

📖 This Sunday at Balranald Presbyterian Church at 10.00am

What happens when everything we trust in begins to fail?

In Jeremiah 21–22, we come to a moment of crisis.
A city surrounded.
A king unable to save.
A people facing the reality of God’s judgment.

And yet, through it all, a deeper question rises:
Where can true hope be found?

This Sunday we’ll explore “False Kings” and see how the failure of human leadership points us to the One King who never fails — Jesus Christ, whose throne is forever and whose kingdom cannot be shaken.

Whether you’re searching, struggling, or simply needing to be reminded of where real hope lies, you are warmly invited to come and hear God’s Word with us.

There is a King who reigns in righteousness…
and in Him, there is a place to rest.

You’re warmly invited to join us tomorrow at Balranald Presbyterian Church at 10.00am.

This week we continue our series “Thus Says the Lord — The Word that Rules Over Nations and Hearts” with a message titled:

“Fire in My Bones”
📖 Jeremiah 20 | Hebrews 10:32–39

What does it cost to faithfully hold to God’s truth in a world that resists it?

Jeremiah knew that cost — rejection, pressure, and weariness.
And yet, he could not remain silent.

Why?

Because the Word of God burned within him.

And at the turning point, we hear those powerful words:

“But the LORD is with me as a mighty warrior” (Jeremiah 20:11, ESV)

This Sunday we’ll see:

The reality of standing for truth
The struggle of holding fast under pressure
And the strength that comes from knowing the Lord is with us

Come and be encouraged to stand firm, hold fast, and endure in Christ.

All are welcome.

You’re warmly invited to join us this Sunday at 10.00am at Balranald Presbyterian Church

This week’s message continues our series “Thus Says the Lord”
with a searching and encouraging look at:

“Vanity of the Evil Heart”
(Jeremiah 18:12–17; Hebrews 13:5–6)

There are many paths we can choose in life—
but not all of them lead to life.

Through the prophet Jeremiah, we see the danger of turning away from God and choosing our own way.
And yet, in Christ, we hear a greater promise:

“I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Come and hear how God calls us back from wandering
and sets our feet on the sure and steady path of the gospel.

All are welcome.
