Dear Community,

I am looking forward to a new week with some brand-new client meetings booked in.

Last week has reminded me that setting and re-setting boundaries is crucial to my personal wellbeing and professional reputation.

To my long-term network of trusted and elite NDIS Providers - thank you for your referrals, trust and support.

To the long-term caseload of families and clients - thank you for allowing me into your homes, to listen and support you on your journeys.

Have a wonderful week ahead!

Dear community,

What a month today has been 🤯

I will no longer be referring Support Workers who are new to the scheme. By new, I mean 12-24 months experience, no service agreements or mental health training.

My reputation has been tarnished, yet again, and said Support Worker has been paid thousands of dollars, all the while they’ve been s**t canning me.

I should have listened to my instinct, but I agreed to help them change careers (many careers).

I’d love to see what her income has been since she met me. I don’t have staff, I just refer clients to workers.

Lesson for me: don’t refer to people who are cocky, don’t understand the NDIS code of conduct, and who don’t prepare service agreements, and go rogue daily.

Lesson for her: get disability and mental health trained, get qualified, do the hard yards, work for an agency and earn a low hourly rate, wipe adult bums, clean up s**t, vomit, feral toilets, get physically and verbally assaulted then come for me and tell me you’re qualified and more experienced than me.

If she can work pro bono for 12 weeks, and not question the matter, or complain - please come see me.

Lastly, do not breach the NDIA code of conduct by helping your support work client engage with a new Support Coordinator.

Do not attempt to read their budget, and tell the local community lies.

The matter has been addressed and resolved.

Dear Community,

I’ve been providing this service to clients for over 6 years, and I’ve never really promoted it until recently.

I am in clients homes daily, observing and listening to the needs of individuals and families.

If you’re plan managed, and you’re thinking about getting your home into good shape, let’s connect.

An onsite assessment, budget check, and quote are free of charge.

We assess, discuss your goals, review your NDIS budget, and we get s**t done.

We are absolutely here for you to facilitate ongoing support and maintenance.

Dear Community,

Your enthusiasm around the home organisation photos has been wild 🧹🧺

We’ve welcomed new bookings this week, to commence after the school holidays.

My business partner and I cover the entire Peninsula.

We’ve had to open up a waitlist 🫣

As seasoned, highly experienced and qualified disability workers, we take pride in our work, we pass no judgement, and we work together to ensure your home life has minimal interruption.

We have a caseload of NDIS and private clients, and we provide an onsite quote prior to works being completed.

Things we are very good at:

- Light cleans and resets of each room (those you choose)
- Decluttering
- Home organisation
- Family Helper

Dear community,

I’m taking a few days of bereavement leave.

Our youngest schnauzer, Rocky, crossed Rainbow Bridge yesterday, after a short battle with kidney disease.

The grief we are feeling, is unbearable.

Have a safe, warm long weekend, chilling with loved ones including your fur babies. They really are better than most humans 🐾🐾

Dear community,

How pretty are the skies at sunrise and sunset?

Does anyone else take a minute, and appreciate the little things? The sky, a rainbow, or how the light hits a vineyard when you’re driving around the Peninsula?

I think they call it ā€œmindfulnessā€. I’ve never understood that, so I just call it what it is - beauty in nature, and something to sit with and share with my kids if they’re with me.

Life is hard. People can really hurt you. Family can turn their backs on you (literally, and figuratively), while continuing to contact your kids, your in-laws, and your husband.

Getting out of bed some days is impossible.

If you’re going through stuff, please Keep going. At your pace.

Things will be ok, and things will get better. They always do.
