What a fabulous evening celebrating the 60th birthday of the Balmain Association at the historic Balmain Watch House last night. It was an honour to be part of this milestone, and I want to acknowledge and thank the committee members and volunteers who have dedicated their time to preserving the history and character of our Balmain, Rozelle, and Birchgrove communities.

Thank you to all involved at the Balmain Association for the invaluable work you do and for the contributions you have made to our community over the past 60 years.

Also thanks for the fabulous entertainment from the talented Ciao Strangers.

Formed in November 1965 by a small group of passionate local residents, the Balmain Association has worked tirelessly to protect the suburbs’ heritage, architecture, and natural beauty. Based in the Balmain Watch House, the Association has restored and conserved this important piece of our local history.
