The day is here! Sydney Community Group (SCG) is delighted to welcome our community to Diwali 2026 โ€“ Festival of Lights this evening.

Diwali is a time to celebrate hope, kindness, new beginnings and the joy of coming together. Tonight is about more than lights, music and cultural performances. It is about strengthening community connections, celebrating our diversity and remembering the importance of supporting those who need a helping hand.

We look forward to an evening filled with vibrant performances, music, dance, a delicious multicuisine vegetarian dinner and wonderful moments shared with family, friends and our wider community.

A heartfelt thank you to our sponsors, supporters, charity partner, volunteers and everyone who has contributed to making this celebration possible.

For their wonderful contribution and support, the SCG Youth Team received a special invitation today to visit Ronald McDonald House Australia at Westmead. โค๏ธ

Spending quality time with children and families going through difficult times is so much more than a monetary contribution. Time is one of the most precious gifts we can giveโ€”and it isnโ€™t always easy to give it freely.

We are truly grateful to see our young people step forward, connect with the community and make a difference through their presence, compassion and kindness. ๐Ÿ™

Looking forward to seeing everyone at Diwali 2026 โ€“ Festival of Lights! ๐Ÿช”โœจ
