: Police have confirmed a 39-year-old man has died from his injuries after a shark attack off the coast of Far North Queensland this afternoon.

Emergency services were called to Hull Heads Beach, around 160 kilometres from Cairns, after reports the man had been bitten in the surf around Kennedy Shoal.

If an incident does occur and life-threatening bleeding is identified by pulling or spreading blood act fast and do something, it is better to do something rather than nothing to stop the bleeding.. Tourniquets should be applied high and tight to arms or legs.
Ring 000 ASAP.
