We are seeking a MBS Clinician – Psychologist / Occupational Therapist / Social Worker to join our team at headspace Ballarat.

We are looking for experienced and passionate mental health clinicians to join our multidisciplinary team supporting young people aged 12 - 25.

We welcome applications from Accredited Mental Health Social Workers, Clinical and General Psychologists, and Occupational Therapists who are passionate about working with young people and providing high-quality, person-centred care.

This opportunity offers the flexibility to work between one and five days per week, with days scheduled around your existing commitments. You’ll work within the headspace model alongside a supportive multidisciplinary team, with an established referral base and administrative support.

About the role
You will:
• Provide high-quality psychological, counselling, and therapeutic interventions for young people aged 12–25
• Support between 5–10 clients per day
• Work collaboratively as part of the headspace Ballarat multidisciplinary team
• Have opportunities to further develop your therapeutic skills and experience working with young people

What we offer
• Flexible working arrangements from 1–5 days per week
• Administrative support, including appointment bookings and billing
• An established and ongoing referral base
• A welcoming and supportive multidisciplinary team
• Daily case review and opportunities for clinical collaboration
• A paperless practice with IT support
• An inclusive workplace focused on improving outcomes for young people

Interested in joining us?

Tuesday 11 August 2026 is Census Day. For the first time ever, the Census will ask people aged 16 and over about their sexual orientation and gender identity.

Equality Australia have done a tremendous job putting together a guide on everything you need to know about the new questions. More information can be found on their website.

The Census asking about sexual orientation and gender identity this year is a genuine turning point, one that will finally help paint a fuller picture of LGBTIQA+ lives across Australia. But there's still a gap. Intersex Australians remain left out, and that's a fight worth continuing.

Not out at home? Call 1800 181 227 they can give you a Census number to complete your Census online or send you a paper form.
