Ballan & District Adult Riders Club BAD ARC ( HRCAV) hosts rallies 4th Saturday of the month at the Ballan Racecourse, Racecourse Road Ballan. We host Working Equitation on the third Tuesday.

As Non HRCAV event. Our friendly members welcome all abilities of horse and rider. The Ballan and district Adult Riding Club hosts rallies each month, ex Dec, on the 4th Saturday of the month at the Ballan Racecourse, Racecourse Road Ballan. Ballan Adult Riding Club host a Working Equitation on the 3rd Tuesday of the month. Attendance at these events do not require the rider to be a member of the

Ballan Adult Riding Club or HRCAV. We occasionally hold rallies away from the club grounds such as trail or beach rides and these involve some travelling and may include bush riding. Our rallies usually run between 9.00-12 then 1-3pm, depending on our instructors and how many members we have attending. For the current year 2025, the HRCAV fee is $170.00, and is not prorated until much later in the year, this amount includes personal insurance and HRCAV membership. The club fees are $200.00 for attendance at 5 rallies, this is in addition to HRCAV fees. Other memberships are available, please contact the club contacts for further information. The annual membership year is from 1st November through to Oct 31st in line with the HRCAV yearly membership. Existing members of the HRCAV need only pay one annual membership to the organisation, and may join Ballan ARC by paying the annual club fee only. These guys are jointly sponsoring an award for the best performed Standardbred at our upcoming Official HRCAV Dressage Jackpot. The award is open to pure and registered SPPHAV partbred standardbreds.

The walk/trot dressage tests are great for giving the standies who haven't yet mastered their cantering to compete on a level playing field, and we look forward to seeing plenty of ex-race horses in the ring on the day :)

Entries are open on Horse Comps, and if you get yours in now, you'll have four weeks to brush up on your ringcraft and learn your tests before the big day! 📝
