East Gippsland Symphonia welcomes members
of all ages and all ability levels. We enjoy learning and performing a wide variety of music
styles from jazz and swing pieces to show tunes
to classical arrangements. We are eager to
encourage new musicians and provide quality
music for the community to enjoy. We currently have around 25 active members and play an important role in the local community, pe
rforming at many events East Gippsland wide. These include Opera by the Lakes, Relay for Life, ANZAC Day ceremonies, church services, school fairs and other local functions, as well as many Carols by Candlelight events during the Christmas period. From time to time we also travel to other regions to be involved with other community ensembles. We enjoy being invited to perform at various events across our region and appreciate the support we receive from our community throughout the year. East Gippsland Symphonia comes under the umbrella association, Bairnsdale Citizens’ Band Inc., which also incorporates East Gippsland
Brass and Bairnsdale Training Band.
