For honest committed progressive candidates who are good people with no agenda other than supporting East Gippsland to be healthy and thrive, please consider putting these 9 candidates as your top choices.

Caring East Gippsland is a loose alliance of people with common values. We have been supporting 9 candidates for the East Gippsland elections who share those values.

These 9 candidates are exceptional people. They are caring, kind, honest and good people who really care about the community and the country.

They are a younger cohort (6 of them are under 50 years old), so they are in the workforce, they have children, and they are more representative of the East Gippsland population.

Six of the nine are women, which has never happened here in East Gippsland before and would really make a difference to how Council operates.

And they are brave for offering to take on this job as Councillor.

The candidates whom Caring East Gippsland is supporting spoke very well last night at the Meet the Candidates event at the RSL.

Six of the nine are young - less than 50 years old (that's young in my mind).
Six of the nine are women.

All of them have made massive contributions to East Gippsland communities.
The eight of them who spoke last night, were so professional and caring, and expressed their particular commitments to East Gippsland and spoke to why they are standing for election very clearly.

It was a really worthwhile event.

Hi, a group of East Gippsland locals are supporting passionate, committed and caring candidates for the 2024 elections to the East Gippsland Shire Council.

We are seeking donations from you to help fund their election campaigns. If you prefer to help in other ways, that would be really great.

CARING EAST GIPPSLAND stands for an inclusive, healthy, and thriving community.

The candidates we are supporting, are standing independently from each other.

They have different interests and perspectives; however, they all have a deep commitment to Caring for East Gippsland and have been selected through a formal interview process that confirms their beliefs in the following values:

- The community is at the centre of decision-making, and people are supported to be healthy and happy.
- The economy is strong and supportive of everyone.
- Closing the gap for the First Nations people is a priority.
- The country is cared for and restored where needed.
- The wildlife and forests, lakes, rivers and mountains are valued for their beauty and natural values.
- The diversity within the community is respected and valued.
- Young people are provided with opportunities for growth, training and jobs.
- Arts, culture and heritage are valued as an integral part of our diverse communities.
- Smart, healthy enterprises are supported to be established and grow.
- Relationships between the community and the East Gippsland Shire Council are positive, trusting & open.
- The risks and opportunities of climate change are understood and planned for.
- And there are no candidates who are current members of any political party.

We all want a caring East Gippsland: we want RESPECT, GOOD HEALTH, OPPORTUNITY and PROSPERITY for everyone.
