PRIVATE HIRE EVENTS
(Birthdays, Wedding Receptions, Funerals and other functions). Caterers of own choice for function. Prices effective from 3 March 2024. Hall Hire Booking Deposit $1500.00. Payable in advance to reserve the requested date. Bookings will only be confirmed when payment and completed paperwork are received. Fees to be deducted from Booking Deposit:
Hall Hire (includes tables, chai

rs, crockery & cutlery) $500.00/day
Meeting Room Hourly Rate $100.00/hour
Air Conditioning (metered) $30.00/hour
Kitchen Hire $100.00/day
Cleaning Fee $250 for large functions. Additional set-up or pack up days in excess of allowed periods $150/day. Once required fees are deducted from the booking deposit, any surplus deposit will be refunded. Bar is solely operated by Babinda Lions Club. Prior arrangements for service of alcoholic refreshments are to be made with the club representative. The Babinda RSL Memorial Hall Policy does not allow glass bottles or glasses in the licensed consumption area. No liquor is allowed into the Hall, other than items supplied from licensed outlet. It is the responsibility of the hirer to remove all rubbish and clean the Hall after the event. Email hire enquiries to : [email protected]

Our 2026 ANZAC Day Program has arrived!

We extend our gratitude to Lucy and the team in Strategic Communications & Engagement at Cairns Regional Council for designing this year’s program and supporting our event. Thank you to Sue from PCQ Reef Print and Design for her continued support in printing our programs.

Please look out for programs available at various businesses next week. Programs will also be available on the day at the Hall and ANZAC Park.

DAWN AND MORNING ANZAC SERVICES 2026
The Dawn Service will be conducted at the cenotaph (ANZAC Park) regardless of weather. The 10AM Morning Service will be held at the cenotaph unless there is heavy rain. If heavy rainfall persists, the 10AM Morning Service will be held in the RSL Hall.
The Babinda QCWA are kindly doing an array of sandwiches, scones and ANZAC biscuits in the hall after the 10AM Commemorative Service. $5 (cash only) for a mixed place with complimentary tea/coffee.
