RYLA District 9800

RYLA District 9800 Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) in District 9800 is a week-long residential leadership development program for young people aged 18-25.

RYLA Program Goals
-Help participants gain a better understanding of their own strengths, passions and values​
-Develop the leadership skills of young people through experiential workshops, involving teamwork, communication, motivation and introspection
-Foster an appreciation of the diverse abilities and unique qualities of those around them
-Provide an opportunity for young people to come toge

ther in a supportive environment
-Develop a set of resources and tools to facilitate the participants' ongoing development in their communities
-Create a greater awareness of social issues affecting young people
-Demonstrate Rotary's commitment to young people.

Check out what RYLA alum is up to! For all our Bendigo based supporters (or those looking for a day trip), you can catch Annie at the Bendigo Comedy Festival!

Coming to Bendigo on Thursday 2 October: ‘Annie Louey – Live’, a one-night only stand-up show as part of the Bendigo Comedy Festival.
Annie Louey completed the District 9800 RYLA program in 2016 and went on to become a comedian, presenter and celebrant.
On camp, she performed a stand-up comedy routine, and she thanks the program for equipping her with the life skills and confidence to eventually turn her performing talents into a career.
