🧡 Sea of Hearts 🧡
Our beautiful Sea of Hearts Tree was created through the collaboration of all the children and families in our centre. Each heart added to the tree represents love, connection, respect, and our shared commitment to supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as we continue working together to Close the Gap.
Through this experience, the children were encouraged to develop an understanding of inclusion, respect for culture, and the value of working together as a community. The Sea of Hearts Tree has become a powerful symbol within our centre, reminding us that even small actions of care and understanding can help create positive change for the future.
You can catch a glimpse of our beautiful Sea of Hearts Tree displayed in the foyer.
From the 27th of May to the 3rd of June, we will be celebrating National Reconciliation Week. Throughout the week, we will be engaging in experiences and conversations that encourage us all to work together to acknowledge, understand, and respect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories, cultures, and achievements.
National Reconciliation Week provides an important opportunity for children to develop a sense of belonging, empathy, and respect for others. Through stories, art, discussions, and shared experiences, we aim to foster an environment where diversity is celebrated and meaningful connections are built within our community.
We look forward to sharing this special week of learning and reflection together.
