A major milestone this week as we held the first NAK & ATEWS Director and stakeholder meeting. Three productive days in Sydney have set solid foundations for the rollout of REAS in Aurukun.
A powerful start built on collaboration, shared purpose, and a commitment to delivering real outcomes for community and long‑term sustainability.
ATEWS is the joint‑venture organisation between NAK and ASURIA, and this week showed exactly what strong partnership looks like.

The Directors of Ngan Aak-Kunch Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC hereby give notice that the Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held as follows:

Location: Aurukun Community Centre, Aurukun QLD

Business of the Meeting:
1. Confirmation of minutes of the previous AGM.
2. Election of Directors – one (1) Director to be appointed from each of the eight Representative Groups:
o Shivirri/Sara ceremonial group or Ward River/Norman Creek/Pera Head/Mbang/Moingam/Hey River/Embley River/Marmoss River regions, or Alngith/Wik Way groups
o Winchanam ceremonial group
o Apelech ceremonial group
o Puch ceremonial group
o Wanam ceremonial group
o Lower Holroyd River / Christmas Creek / Edward River regions
o Mungkanhu identity or Wik-Iyanh language group
o Ayapathu language group
3. Presentation of reports in accordance with the CATSI Act.
4. Appointment of auditor (if required).
5. Any other business of the corporation.

• Members may attend, speak, and vote.
• Members may appoint a proxy in writing if unable to attend.
• The Register of Members will be available for inspection and updating at the meeting.
• There will be no financial assistance to cover travel costs or sitting fees to attend this meeting.
