Time of issue: 09:31 AM, 02 June 2026.
⚠ Western Power advised Tuesday 2 June that at 7am around 12,000 customers across the network are currently affected by outages following severe storm conditions over the weekend, down from around 26,000 yesterday afternoon. The storm damage was significant and widespread across the WA main electricity network.

⚠ Western Power emergency response crews are continuing to work to address a significant number of hazards on the network. There are 44 hazards remaining, down from 200 yesterday afternoon and 500 at the peak.
⚠ Western Power's priority remains responding to reported hazards to ensure the safety of community, crews, and other agencies. Once hazards have been attended to, crews are able to commence repairs and restoration of power.
⚠ All available crews are addressing hazards on the network and Western Power has cancelled all non-essential network maintenance work to focus on the storm recovery efforts.
⚠ Estimated restoration times will be updated as Western Power crews continue to assess the damage and repairs required.
