At last. One extremely illusive white kitty has been caught and is heading to the vet this morning. By tonight she will have been desexed, vaccinated, chipped, wormed, flea treated and checked out thoroughly from top to bottom. This little devil has led us on a merry chase for ages. She's fast and smart, which isn't always a good combination. Thanks goes to Wendy for patiently gaining her trust over time and to Wayne for risking life and limb to actually catch her this morning and bundle her into the carrier.

Ranga used to be convinced that all humans were dangerous. I guess in the world that he came from they were. No-one knows how long he'd been in the trap before he was spotted. He was severely dehydrated and had blood on his nose and paws from trying to escape. He was definitely not a happy chappy, and he wasn't backward in letting me know that it was obviously all my fault. I felt it was prudent not to argue the point as my chances of winning were zero. I found my greatest assets were the other cats, and their combined determination that he shouldn't try to shred me before they had been fed breakfast. Anyhoo that was years ago and Ranga has now joined the senior brigade. Fortunately he hasn't been sick a single day because I really don't want to blot my copy book by attempting to shovel meds down his throat.

Big thank you to Rob and Connie for this gorgeous photo of Garfield now living his best life.

MEET AND GREET WENT WELL AND HIS NEW FAMILY ARE WONDERFUL.

This is Scooby. He is 13 years old. His owner got a new puppy. Scooby doesn't understand what he did wrong that caused his Dad not to love him any more. He needs a home environment, not the shelter. He's been a solo pet all his life and this just isn't fair on him. Please, if you can offer Scooby a loving, permanent home, where he will be indoors and cherished message the page.

Brekkie gathering has begun. In case you've ever wondered, I've included photos of part of what it takes to keep this lot fed for a couple of weeks. If you'd love to start up a rescue because you think you'll make money, believe me, you won't. But some things are more important than money, and somehow we're still rolling along.
