And of course, thank you to our dedicated committee members for the planning, the passion, and the countless hours (and bottle of wine🍷) behind the scenes. I (Nicole) personally joined the committee to meet new people and hopefully find friends with common values and shared interests — and I’m so glad to say that I did. There’s something genuinely heartwarming about being part of an event that brings our community together in such a meaningful way. So thank you for making this possible!!

If anyone out there (yes, you!) would like to be involved — whether in a big role or just lending a hand — we’d absolutely love to welcome you. We’re also keen to hear your feedback (good and bad), especially around how we can continue to improve accessibility and inclusivity. We firmly believe in an open and welcoming community, and love to see it in action!

Thank you all for making the Ashton Christmas Picnic such a joyful and memorable day. You’ll definitely be hearing from us again… maybe sooner than you think 😉🎄✨

What an absolutely magical day we had at the Ashton Christmas Picnic! Our hearts are full, our smiles are wide, and we’re still buzzing from the incredible energy of the event. I think one of the things that indicates the success of a community event is the length of its thank you list, and please bear with me, this is a long one!

First and foremost, thank you to ALL our sponsors — truly, there would be no event at all without your generous support. In particular, Temby’s Farm and Ceravolo Fine Fruits have gone above and beyond in helping make the day possible. Both of these businesses have been unbelievably generous in their donations, and we truely cannot thank them enough.

We also extend our sincere gratitude to Trestrail Earthmovers, Ashton Hills Vineyards, and the Ashton Co-Op for their strong backing of our community celebration 💕

And of course, to the many local businesses who donated raffle prizes, promoted the event, and lent us other event essentials — your contributions added so much joy and colour to the day. The sheer number of them on our sponsors board was incredible!

A huge thank you as well to our performers: Anya Anastasia, Spirit in Unity, David Booth and IMBALA, Mamas & The Papas, and Universal Tongue. Each of you brought such warmth, talent, and energy — it truly wouldn’t have been the same without you. A special shout-out to Mamas & The Papas for generously allowing all performers to use their PA equipment. A true act of community spirit!

To everyone who attended, donated, volunteered and celebrated with us — thank you! Seeing families, friends, neighbours, and newcomers all gathered together is what makes this event so special.

Another one of our favourite Ashton stops - the Ashton Co-op! I can’t tell you how many times this place has saved our DIY project!! We are so thankful to have such a friendly bunch of people at our local hardware shop - always ready with advice and assistance when needed!!

On top of being such a vital part of our community, these guys have also been wonderful supporters of the Ashton Christmas picnic! We can’t thank you enough and we hope to make you guys proud with what we’ve arranged for this event!

Cheers all round 🍷 to Ashton Hills Vineyard for sponsoring our Ashton Christmas Picnic!

If you don’t know them — Ashton Hills is this brilliant local winery up on Tregarthen road, known as one of Australia’s finest for elegant, cool-climate wines. They’ve been doing their thing since 1982, hand-crafting gorgeous Pinot Noir, Riesling, Chardonnay and even beautiful sparkling wines (a great Christmas treat✨).

Their rustic cellar-door with sweeping vineyard views is one of my favourite wine-weekend stops (yes, I may be a regular).

A huge thank you to the team at Ashton Hills for their generous donation, helping us bring the community together for a festive, relaxed, very Ashton kind of Christmas celebration. 🎄✨

A massive cheers to the legends at for sponsoring this year’s Ashton Christmas Picnic —The Cervolo family have generously sponsored one of the incredible performers we have arranged for the evening - Universal tongue - and are rolling in with their very own juice truck! 🚚🍏🍒

Based in Ashton, the Ceravolo family are a fourth generation independently owned family business! They grow, pack and wholesale 45 (😲) varietals of apples, pears, cherries, and strawberries, and you can find their produce at heaps of locations around the hills.

So not only will the event have bounds of great music and wholesome community spirit but we’ll also have the freshest juices in the Hills keeping everyone cool, hydrated, and happily sticky. 😂🥤

Recognise any of these places? 📍If so - the Ashton Christmas picnic is for you! ✅ We welcome all our neighbours, including from surrounding suburbs, to join us and celebrate the community we live in. Did you know 42% of the planning committee don’t live in Ashton!

Our last, but certainly not least exciting act for the evening will be the incredible Norton Summit duo - Universal Tongue - brought to you by Ceravolo.

Universal Tongue is a husband-and-wife acoustic duo from the Adelaide Hills, drawing on years of experience in Adelaide’s rock, metal and corporate music scene. Brendan and Amanda provide engaging arrangements of familiar favourites that suit intimate venues and community events.

Many thanks to the Ceravolo family and business, who have supported the Ashton Christmas party for years! Locals like these are really what makes our section of the hills the wonderful place that it is. HUGE thanks to you all 👏🏻
