In light of scleroderma awenrness month, i thought I would share that I recently attended the Australian rheumatology assocaiton scientific meeting, held in the beautiful Adelaide city. This conference yet again proved to be an enriching and memorable experience. The program featured excellent speakers and engaging presentations, with quite a few that focused on scleroderma. These presentations provided valuable information on gut, heart, and lung involvement. We were fortunate to hear from our very own Sydney based rheumatologist, professor Mandana Nikpour. The event also offered valuable networking opportunities—I had the pleasure of reconnecting with familiar colleagues from the Liverpool hospital rheumatology department and meeting new ones, including, for the first time in person, the President of Scleroderma Australia. A personal highlight for me was introducing my baby Francesco, along with my husband Andrew and mother-in-law Rosie, to several colleagues. The combination of professional learning and personal connection made this a truly special event. I look forward to attending next year's conference in Queensland.
