This week is National Volunteers Week and it provides a wonderful opportunity for the Ashburton Community Centre to recognise and celebrate the incredible volunteers who are at the heart of our Centre's community.

Our Centre truly runs on the energy, generosity and goodwill of volunteers. Every day, volunteers contribute their time, skills and care to help make our Centre a welcoming, vibrant and supportive place for everyone.

We are fortunate to have volunteers supporting the Centre in so many different ways. This includes our Administration Support volunteers in the office, our Digital Mentors, Connect Group Coordinators, project volunteers involved in areas such as building maintenance and the Eco Hub, our dedicated Committee of Management and the many event volunteers who help support our fundraising activities throughout the year. Some volunteers contribute every week, while others assist with specific projects, events or occasional activities, but every contribution makes a real and meaningful difference.

Volunteers not only help our Centre operate successfully, they also create connection, friendship and community spirit. Their commitment strengthens our community and enriches the lives of so many people who walk through our doors.

To every volunteer - thank you! Your contribution is deeply appreciated and our Centre would not be the same without you.
