Happy headspace Day 💚

This year, we’re encouraging young people to Do Nothing*. Yep, you heard that right!

Today is all about taking time for your mental health and wellbeing, creating space to pause, recharge and reset.

Whether it’s soaking up some sunshine, listening to your favourite playlist, spending time with friends or simply switching off, Doing Nothing* looks different for everyone!

Whatever Doing Nothing* looks like for you, we hope you find a little time for it today 🌈

Applications are still open ⭐️💚🌈☀️👏

There’s so much creativity across our local community, and we want to celebrate it in our new headspace Armstrong Creek home.

We’re inviting young people aged 12-25 from across the Surf Coast, Greater Geelong and surrounding communities to share what they create with us.

Whether you paint, draw, photograph, write, design, make, sculpt, stitch, create digitally, or do something completely your own, all kinds of creativity are welcome here.

Selected works will be showcased as part of our new centre opening, helping make our new space feel more reflective of the young people and community it’s here for.

There’s also a prize pool of up to $600, with gift cards, creative packs and other goodies.

We’re looking for young local creatives who’d love the opportunity to showcase their artwork at our new headspace Armstrong Creek centre.

We want our new space to reflect the creativity and community of local young people, and we’d love you to be part of it.

The rumours are true... 👀💚 we’re moving!

Later this year, headspace Armstrong Creek will be moving into our new permanent home on the Surf Coast Highway, on the beautiful lands of Wadawurrung Country.

With our grand opening coming later in 2026, we’re calling on young artists and creatives aged 12 to 25 from across the Surf Coast, Greater Geelong and surrounding communities to share their creativity with us ⭐️

Whether it’s painting, photography, digital art, writing, textiles, ceramics, sculpture, mixed media or something completely different, we’d love to see what you create.

Selected artwork will be exhibited as part of our grand centre opening, with the hope for pieces to also remain displayed in our new centre longer term. There’s also a prize pool of up to $600, including varying gift cards, creative packs and other goodies.

Last week we recognised Bullying No Way Week 💜

This year’s theme, Small Acts, Big Impact, is a reminder that actions don’t need to be big to make a difference.

While the week provides an important opportunity to start conversations and build awareness around bullying prevention, preventing bullying is all of our responsibility. Creating safe, inclusive and supportive spaces is something we all have a role in, every day.

We spent some time at Surf Coast Secondary College getting creative and having some of these important conversations 🫶
