📚 Embrace the Analogue with Prose After Dark 📚

Our analogue reading night is back for another month. Join us at the Bistro on Wednesday from 6pm for chill vibes, relaxing tunes, ambient lighting and a chance to dive into a good book! Get out of the Armidale cold with a drink and a good book!

Bring your latest book, or book a blind date with one of ours. It's the perfect chance to take a break from the stress of study and the world around us - and disconnect for just a little while!

💪 Get active for a very good cause! 💪

As well as the usual awesome Bistro events this week, SportUNE are starting their June pushup challenge for a very worthy cause, and you can get involved.

Here's everything that's on this week for Townies:

VINYL VIBES (Tue 4pm) - Study and socialise as the records spin! Join us Tuesday from 4 to 6pm as we crack out some of the records from TuneFM's expansive collection for Vinyl Vibes. Whether you're there to study, socialise, or just need to relax, all are welcome!

PUSH-UP CHALLENGE (Starts Wed) - Join SportUNE in the Push-Up Challenge for mental health! 3,307 push-ups over the course of 23 days, with daily push-up targets that relate to an important mental health fact. Contribute to a very worthy cause and do your body a whole lot of good in the process! Plus, you can donate as well to help support mental health charities. Join the SportUNE team or go solo!

TOWNIES CLUBHOUSE (Wed 6pm) - It's your night, Townies! The first Wednesday of every month is Townies Clubhouse at the Bistro! It's your chance to check in, connect, have some fun and unwind from your studies. We'll be bringing some fun new activities and the good vibes to the Bistro, so come and catch up!

SFK SMALL MUSIC (Mon 6pm) - Get ready to rock and roll with the SFK half time show, Small Music!!! This is your chance to unleash a musical spectacle that's as wild and diverse as a jukebox on shuffle. Whether you're there to participate or spectate, it's sure to be a fun night!

PROSE AFTER DARK (Wed 6pm) - Embrace the Analogue. Bring a book, an e-reader, or try one of our blind dates with a book and settle in for a night of uninterrupted reading time.

TRIVIA NIGHT (Fri 6pm) - Join the UNE Geoscience & Zoology Society's at the Bistro with trivia questions, free pizza, and prizes! Come along with your friends and form teams to compete for some neat society goodies & prizes, with a blend of fun zoology/geo/general science questions, for everyone at all levels. You can also keep an eye out for unit-specific questions to keep you on your toes for exams!

ANNUAL CHARITY MEDBALL (Sat 6pm) - Join the UNE Medical Students Association for their biggest event of the year. With proceeds going towards the Armidale Women's Shelter, there'll be a 3 course meal, raffle prizes, student performances, and a night of good fun.

GIBRALTAR RANGE OVERNIGHT HIKE (Sat / Sun) - Join the UNE Outdoor Adventure Club for an overnight walk showcasing some of the brilliant scenery available at one of the many national parks surrounding Armidale.

STONEHENGE BOULDERING (Sat 8am) - Get keen for a day of cold weather bouldering out at the Stonehenge recreation reserve!

FREE FLU VAX CLINICS (Tue - Thurs) - Stay well this winter and get your flu shot! No booking needed, just rock up, bring your UNE Student or Staff ID and your Medicare card. You’ll need to wait 15 mins after your vaccine, then you’re all set.

VINYL VIBES (Tue 4pm) - Study and socialise as the records spin! Join us Tuesday from 4 to 6pm as we crack out some of the records from TuneFM's expansive collection for Vinyl Vibes. Whether you're there to study, socialise, or just need to relax, all are welcome!

UNEGS KAHOOT TRIVIA (Tue 6:30pm) - Easter eggs are intentional, hidden things or references planted by the creator for observant viewers to discover. There are going to be 6 categories during the night. These include Video Games, TV shows, Movies, Board games, games society and a mystery category revealed at the night

SCUBA TRIP TO COFFS (Sat / Sun) - Join the UNE Scuba & Snorkelling Club for their monthly trip out to Coffs Harbour. It'll be a weekend away of snorkelling, scuba diving, and good vibes.

LSS CONFERENCE (Sun / Mon) - Join the LSS as they bring together industry experts, thought leaders, and like-minded students for a unique opportunity to learn, network, and grow!
