2026 National NAIDOC Week Poster
'Paralpi' by Zaachariaha Fielding

Selected from submissions across the country, 'Paralpi 'by Zaachariaha Fielding has been chosen as the official poster for National NAIDOC Week 2026.

Zaachariaha Fielding is a proud Yankunytjatjara man from the APY Lands in South Australia and is widely recognised as one of the country’s leading contemporary First Nations artists and musicians. Known internationally through the acclaimed music duo Electric Fields, his work brings together language, sound, visual storytelling and culture in deeply powerful and contemporary ways.

'Paralpi' reflects movement, energy and continuity, carrying the stories of Ancestors forward while celebrating the creativity and cultural power of the next generation. Rich in colour and symbolism, the artwork speaks to the enduring strength of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples over the past 50 years of NAIDOC and beyond.

Through this work, Zaachariaha honours the resilience of community, the importance of language and identity, and the ongoing cultural renaissance being led by First Nations peoples across the country and across the APY Lands.

Over the past 12 weeks, these incredible young people have developed valuable life skills, built confidence, and embraced new challenges. From budgeting and job readiness to healthy relationships and navigating the realities of adulthood, they have demonstrated commitment, resilience, and a genuine willingness to learn and grow.

We are immensely proud of everything they have achieved throughout the program. Along the way, they have formed new friendships, created lasting memories, and gained the skills and confidence to take their next steps with purpose.

Congratulations to every participant who showed up, supported one another, stepped outside their comfort zone, and gave their all. Your dedication and growth have been inspiring to witness.

Hello Gunnedah!

Our National Reconciliation Week BBQ Lunch is tomorrow at Hopedale Cottage and we'd love for you to join us for a relaxed afternoon of good food, connection, and community as we celebrate together.

National Reconciliation Week is a time to reflect on our shared history, listen and learn, and continue building respectful relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous Australians.

It’s also a chance to recognise and celebrate the strength, culture, and contributions of First Nations peoples, and to remind ourselves that reconciliation is something we can all be part of — by walking forward together with respect, understanding, and unity.
