20+ Years of Making a Difference!

Huge congratulations to the incredible volunteer work of Rosita Fernandes who was awarded a 20 years of service award at the Boroondara Volunteer Awards 2026.

For over two decades, Rosita has been an essential part of the community as a dedicated Leisure Buddy. That is 20+ years of bringing joy, sharing hobbies, fostering independence, and creating deeply meaningful friendships that have transformed lives.

Being a Leisure Buddy isn't just about giving up your time—it’s about consistency, connection, and ensuring everyone in our community feels included, valued, and seen. We would like to congratulate Rosita on her many years of creating these meaningful connections.🌟 💛

What a phenomenal week celebrating the heart and soul of Inclusion Melbourne—our dedicated volunteer community! 💙

On the evening of the 19th of May we celebrated milestone volunteers, three special awards for a Volunteer Tutor, Leisure Buddy and an ACVVS Volunteer.

During the evening, we heard uplifting stories, shared wisdom and experiences as well as lots of laughs too. Our keynote speaker was Inclusion Melbourne's Nathan Despott. A great evening all round!
