Green Hill Lake Development Board

Green Hill Lake Development Board GHLDB is a non for profit, volunteer group who advise the GHL managers, Ararat Rural City, and work to raise funds and develop the GHL area.

A free camping permit system applies for campers wishing to stay longer than 5 days. Free 28 day camping permits are available from Ararat Rural City Council, Vincent St Ararat. Only one permit allowed per year.

The shower facilities have now been updated for the convenience and comfort of campers at Green Hill Lake.

The showers now require a $2.00 coin to operate. This will give campers 4 minutes of hot water plus a one-minute warning.
Additional coins may be inserted for further time if required.

Hi All,
The GHLDB wishes to advise all campers that we are now using coin operated showers. They take two dollar coins which will ensure a 5 minute shower. 4 minutes plus a 1 minute warning! If further time is required you will need to add yet another two dollar coin. The showers have been updated with mixer taps ensuring more reliable hot water!
Most importantly all the profits from the showers will be used to improve the lakes environment!
