Message from the Grand Master
On behalf of Freemasons Victoria, I extend our deepest condolences to the victims, their families, and all those affected by the tragic and senseless attack at Bondi Beach on Sunday, 14 December 2025.
Freemasons Victoria and its Brethren unequivocally condemn these acts of violence and hatred. We stand in solidarity with the Jewish community and with our Jewish members, offering our heartfelt support during this profoundly sad and distressing time.
We pay tribute to the courage and professionalism of the emergency first responders who attended the incident, and to the Police Officers who were injured while protecting the public. Their selfless service in the face of danger reflects the very best of our community. We also acknowledge and commend the members of the public who, without hesitation, provided aid to the injured and acted bravely in the face of terror.
Freemasonry is founded upon principles of peace and brotherly love of all people. Violence directed at any community has no place in any society.
As we approach the Holy Season marked by reflection, compassion, and goodwill, we reaffirm our shared commitment of peace and unity for the people of Australia and the world.
Fraternally,
MWBro. Peter J. Henshall
Grand Master
