Thank you to everyone who attended the 84th Anniversary Commemoration Service of the SS Vyner Brooke Tragedy this morning at the Nurses War Memorial.

It was lovely to see our community gathered in reflection to honour those who served. We were especially honoured to have some of the nurses’ families attend and lay their wreaths.🕊️

Our sincere gratitude to everyone who made this service possible, your contribution made the morning truly meaningful. 💐

All members are reminded about the Vyner Brooke Nurses' Commemoration Service on Sunday 15 February at the Point Walter Reserve Nurses' Memorial, Honour Avenue, Bicton, starting at 10.30am. All welcome. 🕊️

A busy bee to clean up the Memorial site will be held the day before on Saturday 14 February, from 4.00pm.

If you can help out, please bring equipment such as rakes, buckets, scrubbing brushes, water, brooms, secateurs, etc.

Your efforts will be rewarded by drinks and snacks at Margaret Herley's home afterwards, at 15 Linton Road, Attadale, from 5.30pm - 7.30pm.

Many hands make light work so please let me know if you can assist!
