Ansons Bay Telecommunications Working Group This group has been formed to assist in improvement of telecommunications across Ansons Bay.

The engineers contracted to Telstra are working on the Development Application to be lodged with the Break O’Day Council in September 2026.

The application will include the provision for a 50 metre high tower on the selected site.

Information received from Telstra, states that there will be adequate phone and data service to cover the whole of Ansons Bay.

Once the DA is lodged, the Council will publish and place the approval/appeal information at Connection Cove at the top of the hill.

Exciting times.

The Ansons Bay Telecommunications Group can confirm that Telstra have now had a meeting with the Break O’Day Council regarding the suitability of the chosen site and the lodgment of the development application. The chosen site has been deemed suitable.

21/04/2026

Development Application to be lodged.

Telstra have advised that a Development Application for the new tower will be lodged with the Break O’Day Council in the coming weeks.
